It is with great sadness that we share the news that he passed away on October 3, 2016 on his way to one hundred years. Devoted husband of the late Desanka (nee Sablic), loved father of Veronica and Walter (Mladen), cherished father-in-law of Christiane and generous grandfather of Philip and Alexander.

Born in Croatia (then part of Austro-Hungary), he studied civil engineering at University of Zagreb, graduated in 1948 and left for Canada in 1951, where he proudly practiced his profession.

on Tuesday, October 11, from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Funeral services will be held at St. Nicholas Tavelic Church, 4990 Place de la Savanne, on Wednesday, October 12 at 11 a.m., followed by interment at the Mount Royal Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the St. Nicholas Tavelic Church.
