Peacefully on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at the age of 94 years. Internationally recognized scientist and leading pioneer in the development of technology for computerized machining of ship models. Researcher Emeritus of NRC. Beloved husband of the late Vera Gospodnetic. Loving father of Slobodan “Bodo” (Nevenka) and Marijan (Verica). Cherished Nono of Mark, Petra, Antun and proud great-grandfather of Amico, Kora, and Julian-Drasko. Predeceased by brothers Tonci, Frano and Jugoslav. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street (at O’Connor) on Monday, May 4, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Leopold Mandic Croatian Church, 170 Hinchey Avenue on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a reception in the church hall. As an expression of sympathy donations to the Young String Performers of Ottawa.

Cherished Baka of Mark, Petra, Antun and proud great-grandmother of Amico, Kora, and Julian-Drasko. Dear sister of Djurdjica and predeceased by brother Domagoj. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Vera was an accomplished piano teacher who instilled her love of music in her students.
